The owner of Catering with Elegance, Don Helmig, began his food service career in 1959 with a number of 24 hour hamburger restaurants. Soon thereafter, he saw the need and began offering catering services out of these restaurants. In 1976 his company proudly became the sole provider of food service at the (then) Glendale Golf Club.

In 1991 the opportunity to expand was at our door, when Carriage House International decided it was time to close their doors. At that time we took over their lease and moved all of our off-premises catering to the 3800 sq. ft. location in Addison.

In 1996 the Village of Bloomingdale purchased the golf course property, and changed the name to the Bloomingdale Golf Club.They constructed a new building providing banquet room seating for 225 guests with a beautiful view of the golf course. We now take care of all of the food and beverages at this location.

Over the years we have catered numerous events throughout the Chicagoland area from on-the-Lake (Michigan) venues to the suburbs of the far west, and from penthouses in the beautiful City of Chicago to private backyards of Saint Charles.
